Bioadhesive topical application of tryptophan derivatives

Adv Exp Med Biol. 2003:527:751-5. doi: 10.1007/978-1-4615-0135-0_89.

Abstract

Innovative formulations with high affinity for biological substrates can be designed by exploiting the TVS tensiometric versus skin approach. Combining a compressed air continous-spray application system with biomimetic agents modulating the epidermal barrier (badsystem), bioadhesive topical application of tryptophan derivatives are well obtained without side effects. The biomimetic effect of tryptophan-badsystem was observed.
