Heel replantation

Br J Plast Surg. 1998 Sep;51(6):473-5. doi: 10.1054/bjps.1997.0036.

Abstract

A 14-year-old boy presented with oblique amputation of the heel through the calcaneum. The heel fragment was successfully replanted but the postoperative course was complicated by venous insufficiency requiring further venous anastomosis and attributed to tension in the skin closure.
