Radiology. 1976 Apr;119(1):207-8. doi: 10.1148/119.1.207.

In a case of advanced abdominal pregnancy, the placenta was left in situ following operative extraction of the fetus. Ultrasound and angiographic studies provided assistance in planning subsequent surgery. Both types of examination are indicated in such cases.
