Paranoid psychosis due to flecainide toxicity in malignant neuropathic pain

Pain. 1997 Mar;70(1):93-4. doi: 10.1016/s0304-3959(96)03241-1.

Abstract

Flecainide was used to treat malignant neuropathic pain but despite using therapeutic doses, toxicity occurred resulting in paranoid psychosis. Monitoring of flecainide levels in vulnerable populations is suggested to guide prescribing.
