Lyme borreliosis: an update

Abstract

Lyme borreliosis is now known to be associated with a variety of different genospecies of spirochaetes. The resulting clinical picture may vary according to which genospecies is causing the infection. Multiple infection with other agents may complicate the diagnosis.
