Abstract

An isotopic indicator was used for the determination of the presence of iodine residues in milk after the post-milking dipping of teats in Iodonal A. The residues are below the permitted tolerance limit after the cleaning and disinfection of the milking equipment. As to teat dipping in Iodonal A, the residues are high after this treatment and the concentration of the chemical should be decreased from 33% to 20%.
