The Authors critically examine the principal theories which have emerged during the past years with regard to etiopathogenesis of nasal polyposis. In particular a hypothesis of immunoallergologic nature is set forth and the possibility of interaction between the Nervous System and some elements of the Immunitary System is indicated. Factors giving rise to the genesis of nasal-sinusal polyps are also specified.
