The effect of a single inhalation of allergen on bronchial reactivity to polymyxin B was studied in eight patients with hay fever. In winter the reaction to polymyxin B before and after inhalation of pollen allergen is measured by the FEV. In all patients bronchial reactivity to polymyxin B increased under the influence of allergen.
