Clin Nucl Med. 2024 Feb 1;49(2):162-165. doi: 10.1097/RLU.0000000000004972. Epub 2023 Nov 17.

Abstract

Radiopharmaceuticals can accumulate in malignant or nonmalignant pleural effusion on γ and PET imaging, and effusion shows a pattern of diffusely or focally increased activity. Herein, we report atypical layering of FDG in pleural effusion on PET/CT of 3 patients with metastatic gynecological cancer.
