Clin Nucl Med. 2024 Jan 1;49(1):81-82. doi: 10.1097/RLU.0000000000004933. Epub 2023 Nov 7.

Abstract

Solitary pulmonary fibroleiomyomatous hamartoma is a very rare benign tumor. A 57-year-old man presented with dry cough over 1 month. A CT showed an irregular nodule in the left upper lobe of the lung. A malignant tumor was suspected, and further investigation with 18 F-FDG PET/CT showed the pulmonary nodule with slightly increased FDG uptake. Thoracoscopic resection was performed. Subsequent histopathological and immunohistochemical tests confirmed the diagnosis of fibroleiomyomatous hamartoma.
