In shock there is a significant mismatch between oxygen supply and consumption. In recent years the classification of forms of shock has been established based on pathophysiological and clinical aspects. The term distributive shock includes septic, anaphylactic and neurogenic shock. All these forms share a distinct vasoplegia with a relative volume deficiency. The adequate treatment of patients with distributive shock includes a rapid diagnosis and a consistent emergency treatment consisting of volume and catecholamine administration as well as additional specific emergency procedures when necessary.
Im Schock besteht ein ausgeprägtes Missverhältnis aus Sauerstoffangebot und -bedarf. In den letzten Jahren hat sich eine Einteilung der Schockformen nach pathophysiologischen und klinischen Gesichtspunkten etabliert. Unter dem Begriff des distributiven Schocks werden der septische, anaphylaktische und neurogene Schock subsumiert. Die Gemeinsamkeit besteht in einer ausgeprägten Vasoplegie mit relativem Volumenmangel. Zur adäquaten Versorgung von Patient:innen mit distributivem Schock gehören eine rasche Diagnose und eine konsequente Notfalltherapie, bestehend aus Volumen- und Katecholamingaben sowie zusätzlich ggf. speziellen Notfallmaßnahmen.
