Non-tuberculous psoas abscess

Clin Radiol. 1986 May;37(3):253-6. doi: 10.1016/s0009-9260(86)80330-0.

Abstract

Non-tuberculous psoas abscess is associated with a wide variety of conditions in addition to its well known association with infection in the lumbar spine. Computed tomography (CT) enables the diagnosis to be made at a relatively early stage when classical physical signs may be absent. Percutaneous drainage under CT control provides an alternative to formal surgical drainage in selected patients.
