In daily practice, the presentation, recording, prophylaxis and therapy of the low anterior resection syndrome (LARS) are of great importance for patients, relatives, therapists, service providers and cost bearers. Interdisciplinarity, interprofessionalism and cross-sector care as well as self-help are important prerequisites that must be coordinated in relation to the patient. Examples from a colorectal cancer centre certified by the German Cancer Society are intended to underline this and complement the special issue of coloproctology.
Für die tägliche Praxis sind Darstellung, Erfassung, Prophylaxe und Therapie des tiefen anterioren Resektionssyndroms („low anterior resection syndrome“, LARS) von hoher Bedeutung für Patienten, Angehörige, Behandler, Dienstleister und Kostenträger. Dabei bilden Interdisziplinarität, Interprofessionalität und sektorenübergreifende Versorgung sowie Selbsthilfe wichtige Voraussetzungen, die patientenbezogen koordiniert werden müssen. Beispiele aus einem von der Deutschen Krebsgesellschaft zertifizierten Darmkrebszentrum sollen das unterstreichen und dieses Leitthemenheft damit ergänzen.
