Abstract

In the title complex, [Pd(C₁₀H₈N₂)(CH₃CN)₂](CF₃SO₃)₂ or [Pd(bipy)(CH₃CN)₂](CF₃SO₃)₂, the palladium(II) ion is fourfold coordinated by two aceto-nitrile mol-ecules and a bidentate 2,2'-bi-pyridine ligand in a distorted square-planar geometry.
