Abstract

Digital dentistry continues to improve asynchronous communication across dental teams and elevate clinical outcomes for patients. Digital analyses and planning of complex interdisciplinary cases can be carried out in a highly predictable and accurate manner. 3D-printed surgical and preparation guides made from the definitive digital smile design are invaluable tools to improve the accuracy and precision of clinical interventions, helping to limit human error and increase predictability. Moreover, current CAD/CAM ceramic materials can be paired with proper adhesive bonding protocols to facilitate functional and esthetic success in the long term. This clinical report describes and illustrates digital treatment planning and interdisciplinary surgical and restorative treatment in a highly complex clinical case that required esthetic rehabilitation.
