Low transmission risk of 9 asymptomatic carriers tested positive for both SARS-CoV-2 nucleic acid and serum IgG

J Infect. 2020 Sep;81(3):452-482. doi: 10.1016/j.jinf.2020.06.034. Epub 2020 Jun 18.

Abstract

  1. Asymptomatic carriers (RT-PCR+ and serum IgG+) are unable to transmit virus.

  2. Such a low transmission risk might be partly associated with high Ct values.

  3. A new pattern in SARS-CoV-2 infected patients might have emerged.
