[Article in Croatian]

Abstract

The author discusses the problem of the treatment of wide-spread deep burns by describing different procedures, the history of the use of mesh skin grafts, a comparison with micrografts, tehnicalities in these procedures, the equipment used, indications, and the results. Optimum results obtained by mesh grafts in combination with early tangential excisions, as a further step in a quicker and more successful treatment of wide-spread deep burns, are pointed out.
