Abstract

Various methods for the management of motor fluctuation in Parkinson's disease have been developed. Among them, deep brain stimulation (DBS) is an important therapeutic option that has been proved to be effective. However, the indications and timing of induction therapy are controversial. When contemplating therapy, it is important to consider not only the motor function but also the specific disease course and psychiatric aspects, of each patient.
