Abstract

It is important for future healthcare personnel to receive an undergraduate training preparing them for the healthcare environment they will work in after graduation. Well thought-out approaches, towards e-health as a concept as well as on how to use electronic health records, in an undergraduate curriculum is pivotal in preparing the physicians of tomorrow. It is also a prerequisite for involving physicians in developing and implementing new modes of operation facilitated by e-health. An inventory of current undergraduate curricula for medical students in Sweden shows that there is no structured approach towards e-health and health informatics.
