[Not all pains are the same: breakthrough pain in cancer patients. A case report]

Abstract

Between 40 and 80% of cancer patients experience breakthrough pain. Some fentanyl formulations represent a good option to handle this symptom. We report the case of one of our patients where early integration of palliative care service consented an optimal management of cancer pain.
