Two new monoterpene glucosides from Xanthium strumarium subsp. sibiricum with their anti-inflammatory activity

Nat Prod Res. 2019 Dec;33(23):3383-3388. doi: 10.1080/14786419.2018.1479701. Epub 2018 Jun 1.

Abstract

Two new monoterpene glucosides: xanmonoter A (1) and xanmonoter B (2) were isolated from Xanthium strumarium. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of 1D and 2D NMR, MS and CD analysis. Compounds 1 and 2 were tested for their anti-inflammatory activity with IC50 values of 17.4, 22.1 μM, respectively.

Keywords: antiinflammatory activity; monoterpene glucosides.
