Occupational asthma caused by iroko wood

Allergy. 1989 Feb;44(2):156-8. doi: 10.1111/j.1398-9995.1989.tb02239.x.

Abstract

We report on a patient with occupational asthma caused by iroko. BPT induced an early and late response with a long recovery period, and absence of inhibition on pretreatment with cromoglycate and beclomethasone. Three months after leaving his job, the patient was symptom-free, but non-specific bronchial hyperreactivity was still demonstrated.
