Incidental finding of right renal vein aneurysm in a patient with hematuria

Urology. 2015 Mar;85(3):e9-10. doi: 10.1016/j.urology.2014.11.005. Epub 2015 Jan 2.

Abstract

A 44-year-old man presented with hematuria. A diagnosis of right renal vein aneurysm without arteriovenous fistula and arteriovenous malformation was confirmed using computed tomographic angiography and digital subtraction angiography. The patient refused further invasive treatment, and he was discharged and remained well during the 6 months follow-up. We reviewed 13 adult cases of renal vein aneurysms reported in the English-language literature. To our knowledge, this is the first review of such a novel disease.
