High biocurrent generation in Shewanella-inoculated microbial fuel cells using ionic liquid functionalized graphene nanosheets as an anode

Chem Commun (Camb). 2013 Jul 28;49(59):6668-70. doi: 10.1039/c3cc42068j.

Abstract

The positively-charged ionic liquid functionalized graphene nanosheets (IL-GNS) were used as an anode in microbial fuel cells (MFCs), and proved effective for the high biocurrent generation and power output.
