Abstract

A Pt(II) containing isopolytungstate complex [Pt(2)W(10)O(36)](8-) (1) has been obtained by reaction of K(2)PtCl(4) and Na(2)WO(4); the polyoxoanion consists of two lacunary Lindqvist fragments {W(5)O(18)}(6-) connected by two Pt(II) in square planar coordination.
