Autoradiographic localization of binding sites for follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) in the boar testis

Basic Appl Histochem. 1979;23(1):39-43.

Abstract

The tubular localization of binding sites for 125I-FSH is demonstrated in vitro by the autoradiography on frozen sections of boar-testis. The uniform distribution of silver grains throughout the seminiferous epithelium suggests the presence of receptors for FSH also in the adluminal compartment. Similar results have been obtained using rat testis.
