Abstract

The patients with lumbar spinal stenosis do not automatically deteriorate and will remain unchanged or even improved by conservative treatment. Spine surgeries for the patients with lumbar spinal stenosis have markedly increased as its increasing need, and these surgeries have been believed to improve the quality of life. The purpose of this review is to present current information on the spine surgery for elderly patients with lumbar spinal stenosis.
