Evaluation of the analytical performances of the novel Beckman Coulter AU5800

Clin Biochem. 2012 Apr;45(6):502-4. doi: 10.1016/j.clinbiochem.2012.01.015. Epub 2012 Jan 24.

Abstract

Objectives: To assess the analytical performance of Beckman Coulter AU5800.

Design and methods: Imprecision, linearity and comparison studies were performed on 12 routine clinical chemistry tests.

Results: Imprecision was comprised between 0.4 and 3.0%. The linearity was excellent, with regression coefficients always >1.000. The correlation with analogous tests on Unicell DxC ranged from 0.894 and 1.000. The productivity was 4884 tests/h.

Conclusions: We found optimal balance between performance and productivity for the AU5800.
