The dihedral angles between the two chloro-benzene rings are 24.81 (10) and 19.15 (8)° in the two mol-ecules. In the crystal, mol-ecules are connected via weak inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds forming layers perpendicular to the a axis.
