A boa constrictor was presented with a short oblique compound fracture of the rostral third of the right maxilla. The fracture was reduced and biomaterial was placed around the fracture. A computed tomography scan at 1.5 mo post-surgery showed that the fracture had healed with slight displacement of the bone fragments.
Usage d’un composé ostéoconducteur comme aide dans la gestion d’une fracture du maxillaire chez un boa constricteur. Un boa constricteur a été présenté avec une courte fracture ouverte oblique du tiers rostral du maxillaire droit. La fracture a été réduite et le biomatériau a été placé autour de la fracture. Une tomodensitométrie réalisée 1 1/2 mois après la chirurgie a montré que la fracture était guérie avec un léger déplacement des fragments osseux.
