Abstract

In the title compound, [Mn(C(14)H(8)O(4))(C(13)H(8)N(4))](n), the Mn(II) atom is six-coordinated in a distorted octa-hedral geometry by four O atoms from three different carboxyl-ate groups and two N atoms from one imidazo[4,5-f][1,10]phenanthroline mol-ecule. The organic ligands link inorganic Mn(II) nodes, forming a zigzag chain along the c axis.
