The dihedral angle between the nearly planar eight-membered ring [maximum deviation = 0.033 (2) Å] and the benzene ring is 25.0 (1)°. In the crystal structure, mol-ecules are stacked in columns along the b axis and C-H⋯π inter-actions are observed between the columns.
