[Epidemiologic study of sacroiliitis in an urban population]

Abstract

The point prevalence of sacroiliitis in an urban general population was examined. The study included 231 out of 1200 examinees with rheumatic troubles. After the clinical and radiological examination of sacroiliitis joints, sacroiliitis on a various development level was found in 12 examinees (3.2%). Evidently, sacroiliitis is not rarity, but the diagnosis is still stated late.
