Aim: To study the distribution and efficiency of pEGFP-N1 plasmid after its transfection in cardiomyocytes.
Methods: The neonatal rat cardiomyocytes were cultured. According to the different grow period of neonatal rat cardiomyocytes, the distribution and efficiency of pEGFP-N1 plasmid after its transfection in cardiomyocytes were studied.
Results: The efficiency was significantly increased after pEGFP-N1 plasmid transfection in one-day cardiomyocytes. The distribution of EGFP was in the cytoplasm and nucleus.
Conclusion: The efficiency of pEGFP-N1 plasmid after its transfection in cardiomyocytes was related to the grow period of neonatal rat cardiomyocytes. The distribution of EGFP was in the cytoplasm and nucleus.
