[Ochronosis as a cause of multiple joint osteoarthritis in one patient]

Abstract

The paper presents a 62-year-old patient with ochronotic polyarthropathy. Bilateral total knee arthroplasty, as well as shoulder joint alloplasty was performed. The patient is still remaining under observation and treatment because of degenerative lesions of the vertebral column and both hip joints. Pathogenesis, clinical and histopathological presentation, as well as the possibilities of diagnostics and treatment of the disease are discussed.
