Abstract

Case histories of three pregnant women with spinal cord lesions are presented. These otherwise healthy women are at increased risk for silent preterm labour and complicated urinary tract infections. Autonomous hyperreflexia may be severe and even life threatening. Prevention and treatment of autonomic hyperreflexia in these women require supervision and coordinated care by obstetricians and physicians with special interest in spinal cord lesions.
