Psoriatic arthritis--review of current concepts

Isr J Med Sci. 1991 Apr;27(4):228-33.

Abstract

Psoriatic arthritis is a chronic inflammatory arthritis associated with psoriasis. Clinical features contribute to making the appropriate diagnosis, and we now have reliable clinical measures for disease activity and damage. Psoriatic arthritis may lead to significant disability in the patients. Although the pathogenesis remains to be elucidated, genetic, immunologic and environmental factors have been considered and provide the rationale for a number of therapeutic attempts.
