The presence of cardiovascular risk factors was studied in 282 children and adolescent age obese patients. These risk factors were already present in the majority of obese patients investigated. Due to the accumulation of risk factors 27 percent of patients has already in childhood multiple estimated risk as for as cardiovascular morbidity is concerned. If studied the risk in its complexity, the risk-increasing role of the longer duration of obesity was clearly showed.
