Cu1.5PMo12O40 as an efficient, mild and heterogeneous catalyst for the condensation of indole with carbonyl compounds

Mol Divers. 2009 Aug;13(3):337-42. doi: 10.1007/s11030-009-9120-5. Epub 2009 Feb 20.

Abstract

Bis(indoyl)methanes have been synthesized in excellent yields in the presence of catalytic amount of Cu(1.5)PMo(12)O(40) in molten tetraethylammonium chloride as an ionic liquid. The catalyst is recovered and recycled.
