Ophthalmic Plast Reconstr Surg. 2008 Nov-Dec;24(6):497-8. doi: 10.1097/IOP.0b013e31818b7745.

Abstract

In patients with floppy eyelid syndrome, surgical treatments aim to improve eyelid stability and position. The authors treated 3 cases of floppy eyelid syndrome using auricular conchal cartilage to reinforce the lax tarsus of the upper eyelid. The postoperative course was uncomplicated in all patients and the result was extremely satisfying, with resolution of ocular discomfort and conjunctivitis. There were no relapses.
