Congenital mucinous eccrine nevus in a 5-month-old girl with frequent intertriginous dermatitis

Pediatr Dermatol. 2008 Sep-Oct;25(5):573-4. doi: 10.1111/j.1525-1470.2008.00739.x.

Abstract

We present a 5-month-old girl with one localized plaque in a bandlike distribution on the left wrist since birth. Localized hyperhidrosis was also noted. Histopathologic examination of the lesion showed typical findings of mucinous eccrine nevus. Our report may serve to alert dermatologists to consider this entity in congenital lesions.
