We describe an x-band cavity for ESR experiments built to produce the modulation of the magnetic field without using any coil. The modulation is obtained with a current circulating in the cavity walls. The mechanical construction of this device is simple and inexpensive and allow the reduction of the magnetic air gap of the spectrometer.
