Abstract

The effect of surface fires of different intensity on soil invertebrates was evaluated in central taiga Scotch pine forests in the Yenisey Region of Siberia. In the period of 4-5 years, the abundance and ecological and trophic structure of sandy podzol population was almost completely restored after surface fires of medium and low intensity. The recovery process was decelerated after high intensity fires.
