Use of multidetector CT angiography and 3D postprocessing in a case of pulmonary sequestration

Clin Imaging. 2007 May-Jun;31(3):210-3. doi: 10.1016/j.clinimag.2006.12.028.

Abstract

Pulmonary sequestration is a pulmonary malformation in which a portion of nonfunctioning bronchopulmonary tissue is separated from the rest of the lung parenchyma. We report the case of a 48-year-old woman with history of chronic pneumonia, studied with computed tomography and in whom we obtained three dimensional evaluation of the pathological structures.
