Measurement of anterior lens growth after acute primary angle-closure glaucoma

Can J Ophthalmol. 2007 Apr;42(2):321-2.

Abstract

Case report: A 51-year-old woman present with bilateral acute primary angle-closure glaucoma. Glaukomflecken were prominent. Anterior lens growth in front of the glaukomflecken was measured 12 years later.

Comments: Lens thickness is important in the pathogenesis of acute primary angle closure, and lens growth can become significant with time in eyes already at risk.
