Capecitabine-induced cerebellar toxicity

Clin Colorectal Cancer. 2006 May;6(1):70-1. doi: 10.3816/CCC.2006.n.024.

Abstract

Capecitabine is an oral prodrug of 5-fluorouracil used in the treatment of adenocarcinoma of the colon. Neurotoxicity is an infrequently reported toxicity of capecitabine. We report a case of cerebellar ataxia secondary to capecitabine therapy.
