MATEDAL AND METHODS: 73 eyes with senile uncomplicated cataract were operated. In 35 eyes traditional phacoemulsification was performed, in another 35 eyes phacoemulsification through microincision was done with implantation of Acri. Smart 46S and in 3 eyes with implantation of AcrySof SA30AL.

Results: In first part the differences between traditional phacoemulsification and through microincision, were described in detail. In our material we noted that microincision cataract surgery gives better visual acuity and less astigmatism in early postoperative period.
