The use of a rapid diagnostic test to determine malaria as a cause of death

Abstract

In a world of growing international travel, deaths due to imported infections, such as malaria, occasionally occur and can present diagnostic dilemmas. This report describes the novel use of a diagnostic test for a tropical disease in the postmortem examination of the cause of death.
