OXYGEN ATOM REACTIONS WITH CONDENSED OLEFINS

Science. 1964 Jun 5;144(3623):1214. doi: 10.1126/science.144.3623.1214.

Abstract

Gaseous oxygen atoms, thermally generated from O(s) on a 2300 degrees K zirconia surface, react with simple condensed olefins below 100 degrees K. Initial results indicate that the distribution of products differs from that obtained in the gas phase at higher temperatures.
