Prostate cancer detection using power Doppler imaging

Drugs Today (Barc). 2003 Jun;39(6):389-98. doi: 10.1358/dot.2003.39.6.799446.

Abstract

Various preliminary and reassessment articles focusing on power Doppler imaging to detect prostate cancer have studied the potential of this powerful tool. By identifying abnormal vascular flow, power Doppler imaging can enhance prostate cancer detection. However, according to recent articles, the applications for biopsy-guided power Doppler imaging targeting the intermediate serum prostate-specific antigen range has some limitations. Three-dimensional reconstruction of power Doppler imaging is a promising technique to improve cancer detection.
